People love gambling for many reasons. The thrill of gambling is like no other, whether you are relying on strategy or chance. It's entertaining and competitive, and some like to show off their skills and luck. Casino games have become common amongst gamblers, and poker and euro casinos, most of all, have became such a popular game that everyone seems to have a go at it. Celebrities are becoming more and more interested in the game and a few are surprisingly well at it. Poker being the choice of game for many of them, and bank accounts and acting skills to help them out, several celebrity gamblers have certainly thrived in showing that they may just love gambling as much as you.

1. Gabe Kaplan

Gabe Kaplan is often considered to be one of the best celebrity poker players. Starting off his career as an American comedian and actor, he became involved in poker during his acting days, and went on to present High Stakes Poker. His professional poker playing career began after his first appearance at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 1978. In the following years he finished second and third in a few poker tournaments and made it to the final table at the 2007 WSOP. He has over $4.1 million in winnings.

2. Jennifer Tilly 

Jennifer Tilly is an actress who later on became a professional poker player and now makes her living from poker. Having been a very successful actress (she was nominated for an Academy Award), she also became interested in the game during her acting career. She has participated in many poker tournaments including the World Poker Tour where she has had 3 money finishes and the World Series of Poker in which she has won a bracelet. After launching her poker career and playing in many televised events, she stated that she was more interested in pursuing poker than acting, and she has definitely shown that women gamblers are just as good, or even better, than men!

3. Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck is not only a great actor but a very accomplished gambler. Although he is still focused on his acting career, it doesn’t stop him from gambling, and winning! He won the California State Poker Championship in 2004 beating 90 players including a number of professionals and won $356,000. The win qualified him for a seat in the World Poker Tour final where he won $25,000.

4. Toby Mcguire

In spite of being defeated by Affleck at the California State Poker Championship, the Spiderman star has still been successful at the game. He has had multiple cashes in the World Series of Poker and walked away with $186,000 at the Hollywood Park Casino poker tournament, and took first place in the Phil Hellmuth Invitational. He is often seen playing high stakes games in Hollywood.

5. Matt Damon

Affleck’s long time friend and fellow actor, Matt Damon shares the same passion for gambling and is a regular at the World Series of Poker. He has gained quite a reputation as a poker player and is spotted around popular tournaments with Affleck. He may not have had as much success as his best friend, Ben, has had, but his love for the game is definitely certain as he won’t be giving up his interest in poker anytime soon.

6. George Clooney

Joining Affleck and Damon as another famous Hollywood actor and friend, is George Clooney, who is seen with the two known poker players often. However, it seems as he does not play as well as they do! He may have participated in many poker tournaments but Damon describes him as being “very unlucky”. Known for having lost 25 straight hands of blackjack in a row and then having had to borrow $600 from Damon, it’s clear that his bad luck doesn’t get him down as he is still an avid player!

7. Charles Barkley

Barkley is a retired American professional basketball player. But that isn’t all he’s known for! He is well known for his excessive gambling and having lost millions in the game. Although some say he has a gambling problem, and he himself has admitted to losing over $10 million to gambling, he says he gambles too much because he loves it too much! Of course, he may not be as successful or lucky in gambling as the rest of the celebrities mentioned above; but he is still just as keen, and loves gambling just as much as the rest of them and just as much as you do!
